On 13 May 2022, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s Kolkata chapter organised an Eid Milan party at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Kolkata. The event was attended by 145 guests.
The program was chaired by Zafar Ahmed Sahib, the president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Kolkata. The proceedings began at 5:00 PM with the recitation of the Holy Quran along with Bangla translation by Maulvi Mohammed Sagheer Alam Sahib, an Ahmadiyya missionary. Thereafter, Abu Tahir Mandal Sahib delivered a short speech providing a brief introduction to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and the objective behind founding it, which is to deliver the rights owed to God and His creation. He also explained the Community’s motive behind organizing such programs, which is to foster brotherhood among people of different views.
This was followed by short remarks by 13 dignitary guests who congratulated the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for bringing all religions under the one roof of brotherhood and for their endeavours to spread love and equality. The program concluded with the presidential address by Zafar Ahmed Sahib and silent prayers followed by a sumptuous dinner served to all.
