On Saturday, 19 November, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Kannur chapter organized a public event commemorating the blessed life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad^sa. The event was conducted in the premises of Noor Masjid, Kannur, presided over by Mr Abdul Aziz, the district president of the Community in Kannur.

The program officially commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Muhammad Aman, followed by a poem recitation by Moulvi Shafeeq Ahmad. Mr T Sharafuddin, president of the Community’s Kannur City chapter welcomed the guests. K V Umesh MLA delivered the inaugural address. He said that the programs of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community were unique and truly commendable.

Thereafter, Moulvi Sulthan Naseer delivered the keynote address. He stated that the root cause of all the problems the world is facing today is the lack of justice and man’s distancing himself from God. Given this, he stated, peace can only be achieved if we follow the blessed model of the Holy Prophet^sa, acquire the true recognition of God, and fulfil all requirements of justice.

This was followed by short speeches by Mr Hashim Ariyil, convenor of Quran Study Centre Kasargod, and Mr V K Divakaran Master, a professor at the College of Commerce, Kannur. Thereafter, Moulvi Munawar Ahmad gave the vote of thanks. The program was attended by around 150 people.
