The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s Bengaluru chapter celebrated Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day of India. The event started with a grand flag hoisting by the chief guest, Mr Uday Garudachar, MLA from Chickpet constituency. This was followed by the National Anthem sung by the attendees.
The event progressed with the felicitation of the chief guest, the recitation of the Holy Quran and speeches in Kannada by two speakers from the Community. They introduced the Community and spoke in detail about love for one’s nation and loyalty to it. They also introduced the endeavours of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community with regard to peace, carried out under the guidance of its Caliph and Worldwide Head, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmadaba, especially highlighting His Holiness’ outstanding initiatives and efforts for the cause of peace. This was followed by the Tarana-e-Hindi sung by young children depicting the ethos of the nation.
The honourable chief guest then addressed the gathering, after which, Hashmatullah Sb, the local president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Bengaluru, thanked the guests and gave his valuable insights on love for God and love for one’s country. The event concluded with a silent prayer led by Hashmatullah Sb.
A neighbourhood church was also holding a similar event commemorating India’s freedom, who were invited to our event along with children from a nearby orphanage. The true Islamic message of peace and brotherhood was conveyed to the locals staying in the neighbourhood. Through this event, the message of love was conveyed to more than 400 people celebrating the 75th year of India’s independence.
