The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community believes with firm faith, strong conviction, and complete knowledge that the Holy Prophet Muhammadsa is the Seal of the Prophets.
In recent days, certain newspapers have propagated unfounded allegations against the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, claiming that Ahmadi Muslims do not acknowledge Prophet Muhammadsa as the Seal of the Prophets. These false allegations have been made a basis for declaring the Community to be outside the fold of Islam.
The Holy Prophetsa had prophesied that Imam Mahdi would appear in the fourteenth century, and God would manifest the signs of solar and lunar eclipses for his truthfulness. The Holy Prophetsa emphatically instructed Muslims to pledge allegiance to Imam Mahdi when he emerges. The Holy Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas, claimed to be that Mahdi and the Promised Messiah. Consequently, the signs of lunar and solar eclipses also occurred twice, according to the prophecy, in 1894 and 1895. Hence, Ahmadi Muslims are those who accept the Imam Mahdi and pledge allegiance to him, obeying the command of the Holy Prophetsa.
Given this, is it just to declare Ahmadis as non-Muslims to have followed the guidance of the Holy Prophetsa?
Does believing in the Pillars of Faith in accordance with the command of Allah and his Messenger make an Ahmadi Muslim a Kafir (infidel)?
Does adherence to the Five Pillars of Islam render Ahmadi Muslims disbelievers?
Does facing the Kaaba while offering prayers categorise Ahmadi Muslims as disbelievers?
Does believing in the signs of solar and lunar eclipses and numerous other terrestrial and celestial signs, as per the prophecies of Prophet Muhammadsa, justify declaring the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community as being outside the fold of Islam?
Does publishing and propagating the Quran and enlightening the world with its light render Ahmadi Muslim infidels?
Does translating the Holy Quran into 76 languages constitute disbelief?
Does asserting the true and beautiful image of the Holy Prophet and propagating his teachings to the world make the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community non-Muslim?
Does acknowledging Prophet Muhammadsa as the Seal of the Prophets in the true sense amount to disbelief?
Does constructing mosques in Europe, Asia, Africa, and America render Ahmadi Muslims disbelievers?
Does convincing people of the truthfulness of Islam and bringing them into its fold make Ahmadi Muslims disbelievers?
No. Instead, all of these are the signs of true believers. Hence, we earnestly appeal to the general Muslim Community to reflect lest they earn the displeasure of Allah and His Messenger by denying the Imam Mahdi.
The founder of the Ahmadiyya Community summarised his teachings in clear words, stating:
“The essence and sum total of our faith is ‘La Ilaha Illallah Muhammad Rasulullah’ (there is none worthy of worship except Allah, Muhammadsa is the Messenger of Allah). Our doctrine, which we hold in this worldly life – and with the grace of Almighty God and the ability granted by Him – will carry through this temporary abode, is that our lord and master Muhammad Mustafa, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is the Seal of the Prophets and the Best of the Messengers. Through his hands, the religion has been perfected, and that blessing has reached the state of completeness, acquiring which man can adopt the right path and reach God. We also believe with firm conviction that the Holy Quran is the perfect heavenly scripture, and not even a jot or a tittle can be added or removed from its guidelines, limits, rules and commandments.”
The rich corpus of the Ahmadiyya literature contains works that assert the supremacy of the Holy Quran and portray the immaculate character of the Holy Prophetsa. Anyone eager to know more about the Community and its beliefs may avail our following services:
