Speaking during his Friday Sermon at the Mubarak Mosque in Islamabad, Tilford, on 7 February 2025, the World Head and Fifth Caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmadaba, urged prayers in light of the world’s dire circumstances, saying:
I have been appealing for prayers in light of the condition of the world and the state of the Muslims. Continue praying—for the Palestinians in particular and the Muslim world in general. Many believed that the circumstances would improve after the ceasefire was agreed, but instead, they are only worsening. The policies and schemes of the new US president have reached new heights of injustice. Previously, Americans considered him a threat only to their own country, as he did not interfere in the matters of other nations. However, he has now become a danger to the whole world. May Allah have mercy on the Palestinians and the world at large and protect it from these trials.
Arab nations need to open their eyes and strive for unity, as there is no other way. Otherwise, not only Palestine but other Arab nations will also have to face grave hardships ahead. Although some non-Muslims have started raising their voices against the injustice inflicted upon the Palestinians, the ones with power remain intoxicated by their strength and are unwilling to listen to anyone. Hence, Muslims must give serious attention to this, and we must pray for them—for we have no power other than prayer.
Likewise, pray for the Ahmadis in Pakistan, as they often face extreme hostility. Also, pray for the Ahmadis in Bangladesh, that Allah protects them from all forms of opposition and attacks.
Keep the oppressed people and the persecuted Ahmadis across the world in your prayers. May Allah keep them all under His protection. May the world come to its senses and shift its focus towards establishing peace.
May Allah enable us to remain steadfast in our prayers.
