The 126th annual convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, India came to an end successfully. The central point of this three-day convention was the address of the Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmadaba, which he delivered from the UK and was telecast live worldwide through MTA (Muslim Television Ahmadiyya), the satellite channel of the Community. In the address, His Holiness gave valuable guidance to the members of the Community.
Abiding by government restrictions, this year’s Jalsa had been downscaled due to the Covid-19 pandemic and only a limited number of members were permitted to attend the event, most of whom were missionaries and office bearers of the community. However, the three-day proceedings were streamed live online and were availed by members of the community from all over India.
The proceedings of the Jalsa, which were mostly in Urdu, were also simultaneously translated into 6 regional languages of India so that those unable to understand Urdu could listen to the Jalsa in their own language.
In his address, the Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community made special prayers for peace to be established in the world.
Jalsa Salana Qadian bears the message of mutual brotherhood and reflects the Community’s motto “Love for All, Hatred for None”. Those who attend this convention develop great respect and empathy for mankind and try to become useful citizens of the nation.
Jalsa Salana of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was started by the Promised Messiah, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas in 1891 in Qadian. Since then, this convention has been organized annually not only in India but also in many countries of the world. These conventions, which are held under the guidance of the Khalifa act as a great source of rejuvenation of faith for Ahmadi Muslims worldwide and also contribute to their spiritual upliftment.
