The Ahmadiyya Community considers the Holy Prophet Muhammadsa to be the last law-bearing prophet and the Seal of all Prophets.
The Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas, was bestowed the rank of prophethood for his complete obedience and subordination to the Holy Prophetsa.
Owing to their lack of knowledge, some people erroneously contend that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community does not consider the Holy Prophet Muhammadsa as the last prophet, while nothing can be further from the truth. The fact is, as per the declaration of the Holy Quran, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community firmly believes that Prophet Muhammadsa is the last prophet and unequivocally acknowledges him as the Seal of the Prophets.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community adheres to the true Islamic doctrines, asserting that the Holy Quran is the ultimate law for mankind revealed through Prophet Muhammadsa. There will be no new law, nor any law-bearing prophet after the Holy Prophetsa. Similarly, no independent prophet will arise, meaning that no person would be granted prophethood independently of the Holy Prophetsa, or without subordination to him.
Nevertheless, the Holy Quran clearly declares that one may attain the station of prophethood through complete obedience and subordination to the Holy Prophetsa. It is stated in the Holy Quran that whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger Muhammadsa will be among those on whom Allah has bestowed Divine blessings — namely, the Prophets, the Truthful, the Martyrs, and the Righteous. This implies that the spiritual beneficence of the Holy Prophetsa may elevate his true adherents to the highest spiritual ranks.
The founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas, states:
“Now under heaven there is only one Prophet and only one Book. Meaning that, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa [the Chosen One], may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who is higher and more exalted than all Prophets, is the most perfect and complete of Messengers, is Khatamul Anbiya [the Seal of the Prophets] and Khairul Wara [the Best of Men], by following whom God Almighty is found, the veils of darkness are lifted, and the signs of true salvation are witnessed in this very life.”
Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya, Part 4, pp. 355-356
Similarly, he states:
“Thus, I always wonder what a sublime Prophet this Arabian Prophet is, whose name is Muhammad (thousands upon thousands of blessings and peace be upon him). One cannot fathom the limit of his sublime status and it is not given to man to estimate the extent of his spiritual effectiveness. It is a pity that his rank has not been recognized as it should have been…. It is he who is the fountainhead of every grace.”
