The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Dibrugarh, Assam, successfully hosted its first Peace Symposium on August 27, 2023 at Hotel Tea County in Dibrugarh. The theme, “The Key to Global Peace and Security”, attracted a diverse audience, including professors, doctors, religious leaders, businessmen, scholars, and government officials. The program was presided over by Aman Ali Sahib, a senior missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
The National Anthem was played before the program’s commencement. The formal session began with the recitation of the Holy Quran with its Assamese translation by my humble self. Moulvi Zuhurul Haq Sahib delivered an introductory speech, providing a brief description of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and its dedicated efforts to establish peace and serve humanity.
This was followed by speeches from three honourable guests: Swami Achyuteshananda Ji Maharaj from Ramakrishna Mission, Dr Sanjib Sarmah, CMD of JJM Hospital, and Dr Siddharth Sarma, a lifetime member of the Indian Dental Association. They shared their insights on the significance of establishing peace and the means of achieving this goal.
Moulvi Mohammad Nasar Ghori Sahib delivered the keynote address, shedding light on Islamic teachings regarding peace and universal brotherhood. He emphasised that God is the Lord of the entire world, making mankind the creation of one God. He stressed the importance of mutual respect and highlighted the Islamic principle of non-compulsion in religious matters.
Additionally, a documentary showcasing the global peace initiatives undertaken by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was presented during the event.
Aman Ali Sahib concluded the program with the presidential address, where he emphasised the principles of religious freedom in Islam and highlighted the commonalities shared by different religions. The event concluded with silent prayers, and subsequently, dinner was served to the guests, providing an opportunity for further interaction and dialogue among participants. The symposium reflected the values of respect and tolerance, and emphasised the importance of promoting peace, understanding and goodwill among diverse communities.

Allah tala is program ka behtar natiza jamaat e ahmadiyya ke haque mai zahir farmayee ameen.
