On 28 September 2024, in collaboration with the Global Punjabi Association and Anand Group of Colleges, Amritsar, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community organised a seminar on “The Role of Youth in Inculcating Peace” at Anand Group of Colleges, Amritsar. The event aimed to highlight the important role that young people play in promoting harmony and understanding in society.
The keynote speech was delivered by Mr Mujahid Ahmad Shastri, Manager of the Weekly Badr, who emphasised the responsibility of the youth in spreading messages of peace and tolerance, and contributing to the welfare of society by embracing values of compassion and understanding.
This was followed by the screening of a documentary that showcased the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s humanitarian services, peace-building efforts, and educational activities both in India and globally, including the peace initiatives of the Caliph of the Community.

An interactive question-and-answer session was held afterwards, featuring Mr Mujahid Ahmad Shastri and Mr Mubashir Ahmad Khadim, Professor of Comparative Religious Studies (Sikhism) at Jamia Ahmadiyya Qadian, the Ahmadiyya Institute of Languages and Theology. The students posed thoughtful questions about the role of youth in promoting peace, social responsibility, and the Community’s stance on contemporary societal challenges, which were addressed with clarity and insight.
The seminar concluded on a note of mutual appreciation and goodwill, strengthening the message of peace and the importance of youth as agents of positive change in society.
