- “To truly love God and Islam requires a person to love his Nation” – Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community
- The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, India extends its heartfelt wishes to all the people of the country on the occasion of Republic Day.
January 26th is a historic day and an important milestone in India’s development. In 1950, two and a half years after India’s independence, India became a democracy
It is with pride that we acknowledge that our country India is the largest democracy in the world in terms of population, with people from different religions, ethnicity, color, cultures and languages. Although India has diverse culture everyone here lives with mutual love and affection.
The Worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (May Allah be his helper) delivered a speech in Germany in 2012 in which he said,
“The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself taught that the ‘Love for one’s nation is a part of faith.’ Thus, sincere patriotism is a requirement in Islam. To truly love God and Islam requires a person to love his nation. It is quite clear, therefore, that there can be no conflict of interest between a person’s love for God, and love for his country. As love for one’s country has been made a part of Islam.”
By following these guidelines every Ahmadi resident of India loves his beloved country and works tirelessly for the development and prosperity of his nation. Every Ahmadi abides by the law of this nation and are always ready to serve the country in every possible manner.
