The book World Crisis and the Pathway to Peace, a collection of speeches and letters by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Imam and the Head of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslims, is quite impressive, with its quest for peace and amity among nations and peoples of the world. When Mr P A Muhammed Shareef, Secretary Outreach for the Community’s chapter in Karunagapally visited me, he very graciously presented me the book.

Responsibility of the humankind to eschew violence and war in order to build a peaceful world with mutual trust is underlined in the speech made to the British Parliament. It emphasises the fact that justice and truthfulness are essential for preserving peace in this world. Hatred and enmity must be given up by all. The speech emphasises the fact that the world wars occurred because of enforcing injustice and unjust terms by the victors on the defeated nations. Even though each nation has different kinds of blessings and natural resources, many poor nations are burdened by heavy loans. Real change has to occur on different fronts in the prevailing global situation to achieve peace and harmony. Loving the land where each one is living and being in harmony with the people of the country is essential for any citizen of a nation, the speech made at the Military Headquarters of Germany emphasises. Very often, we hear about the irresponsible behaviour of migrants in the countries where they are given asylum and citizenship. In that speech, Mirza Masroor Ahmad depicts the situation of the Ahmadiyya Muslims in Pakistan. It is indeed a sordid situation. In fact, many people in this world face different kinds of marginalisation by majority groups or authoritarian regimes. The positive tone of the book on various vexing problems of the world is quite impressive. The global unity, Islam and the Western world, the necessity of world peace in the present global scenario, and global peace and security essential for the present world are impressive thematic speeches made by the author on different occasions at different places.

The book also contains amity advocating letters written by Mirza Masroor Ahmad to various world leaders like Pope Benedict Sixteenth, Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, Mahamoud Ahmadinejad, President of Iran, Barack Obama, President of the United States and several others. These letters are timely and meaningful articulations on solutions and means to overcome crisis and achieve peace and harmony. I find the book quite impressive with ideas and insights to solve the vexing problems of this world. I wish the author and the peaceful Ahmadiyya Muslim Communities all over the world best wishes. I hope that the efforts of the leader of the Community would bear fruit in achieving peace and harmony.Top of Form
