Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Organises Eid Milan 2026 in Hyderabad

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Hyderabad organised an Eid Milan event on the blessed occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, on 21 March 2026, following the Eid prayers.

The event was presided over by Mr Tanveer Ahmad, President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hyderabad. The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Mr Mir Abdul Hameed, a missionary of the Community, followed by its Telugu and English translations presented by Maulvi Tahir Ahmad Sahib and Mr Mohammad Sohail Ahmad, respectively.

Mr Shaik Shakeel Ahmad, Secretary of External Affairs, conducted the proceedings and delivered the welcome address. This was followed by an introduction to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community by Mr Ata-ul-Baseer, Secretary of Outreach Hyderabad, who highlighted the Community’s ongoing efforts in promoting peace, interfaith harmony, and service to humanity.

A documentary was also screened during the event, emphasising the urgent need for peace and absolute justice in today’s world, highlighting the sayings of the Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmadaba.

The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Mr Satvinder Singh Bagga, President of the Sikh Community Hyderabad. Rev. Varaprasad Gosala, Principal of ACTC College, Mr Santhana Selvan, Bicycle Mayor of Hyderabad, Mr Subeer Baraua, representative of the Buddhist community, Mr Subrahmanyam, representative of Avatar Meher Baba Mission, Mr T.V. Bhaskar Rao, Scientist-G and Additional Director DLRL, Sri Santosh Reddy, Navy Veteran and Project Director at Pragna Group, Mr Anand Bethapudi, Dean of KLH Global Business School, and Rev. Shanthi Datha, Registrar of Mennonite Brethren Centenary College Shamshabad.

All the guests of honour were invited to address the audience and expressed their appreciation for the initiative, highlighting the importance of unity, peace, and mutual respect among different communities. As a gesture of love and respect, all the guests of honour were felicitated.

In his concluding address, Mr Tanveer Ahmad thanked the distinguished guests for their gracious presence and emphasised the importance of carrying forward the values of compassion and brotherhood, urging all to not merely aspire for peace but to actively practice it by fostering respect in homes, compassion in education, unity within society, and to work collectively across all faiths to build a future rooted in justice, harmony, and lasting peace.

The program concluded with silent prayers led by Mr Hameedullah Hasan, District President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hyderabad.

Around 130 guests attended the event, including intellectuals, religious leaders, government officials, and members of civil society, all of whom expressed highly positive impressions of the program. Guests were served lunch along with traditional Eid refreshments.
