On 23 August 2026, Lajna Imaillah (women’s auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community), Bengaluru, organised an interfaith peace conference on the theme “Peace through Absolute Justice” at Canopy Banquet Hall, Bengaluru. The conference was held under the motto “Love for All, Hatred for None” and was attended by more than 160 participants, including 42 prominent guests.

The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Faiza Saba Sahiba, followed by its Urdu translation by Hajira Shireen Sahiba and English translation by Farhath Wajid Khan Sahiba. Munavara Javaz Sahiba, President of Lajna Imaillah Bengaluru, then delivered the welcome address.

The event was graced by the Chief Guests, Smt Sheetal Soni, Senior Supreme Court Advocate and Legal Advisor to the Karnataka State Waqf Board, and Smt S. R. Anuradha Pradeep, Senior Advocate, Mediator and Trainer, who addressed the gathering.

Representatives of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Christianity, the Brahma Kumaris and Islam also addressed the gathering, sharing their perspectives on peace and harmony and reflecting the true spirit of interfaith dialogue and mutual understanding.

The keynote address was delivered by Yasmin Samiullah Sahiba on the subject of Islam and justice. She underlined the indispensable role of justice in establishing lasting peace and highlighted the Islamic standard of justice, which calls for fairness and equity even when dealing with those with whom one may have differences.

Naseema Nasir Sahiba delivered a speech in Kannada on Islam, justice and peace, further elaborating on the Islamic teachings that promote justice as a foundation for peace and harmony in society.

The prominent dignitaries who attended the event included Dr Padmavathi N, Dr Ruksana Hassan, Dr Anusuya Dhanpal, Dr Fareeda Rehmatullah Khan, Dr Sudha, Mrs Sabiha Jahan, Mrs Prabhavati, Mrs Guruvindar Kaur, Mrs Halima Sadiya and Mrs Sabahat Sultana.

A documentary showcasing the worldwide peace and humanitarian efforts of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was also screened during the programme.

Alongside the conference, a Holy Quran Exhibition and book stall were arranged, providing attendees with an opportunity to learn about the teachings of the Holy Quran and explore a selection of Ahmadiyya literature on Islam, peace, justice and other related subjects.

The conference proved to be a meaningful initiative towards promoting peace, justice, mutual understanding and the peaceful teachings of Islam. It also provided a valuable platform for people of diverse faiths and backgrounds to come together in the spirit of dialogue, respect and harmony.
