On 24 January 2026, a delegation of Majlis Ansarullah (elderly Ahmadi men’s auxiliary) from France was blessed with an in-person meeting with the Worldwide Head and the Fifth Caliph of the Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmadaba at Islamabad, Tilford, UK.
During the meeting, the attendees had the opportunity to ask questions on a range of issues. A member asked about the formation of opposing global blocs and the flaring of war, enquiring how Ahmadis living in these countries should create awareness to stay safe from such turmoil. His Holiness replied:
I have repeated this many times to raise awareness. I have been warning you all so that you remain alert yourselves and also make others aware within your respective circles—that we are moving towards a dangerous situation. For the past twenty years, I have consistently said that we are heading towards destruction.
In the beginning, people would say that this was not the case, that such thinking was too negative or extreme. However, the very things I had been saying are now being acknowledged by those same people, who admit that we are indeed moving in that direction.
The blocs that are now forming have emerged despite the establishment of an institution like the United Nations, which was created so that the world could live in unity. However, when discrimination was introduced within it—by granting veto power to certain countries, allowing even a single nation to override the majority—justice could no longer be upheld. And when justice is not upheld, the embers of conflict that lie beneath the surface eventually ignite.
When a reckless leader emerges, as we are witnessing in America today, divisions between blocs intensify. He rejects the authority of the United Nations and instead pursues his own policies. This is why the Prime Minister of Canada has remarked that the world is changing, that new blocs are forming, and that the concept of the United Nations is losing relevance, leading nations to forge their own alliances.
As a result, each country will strive for its own survival. Groups will form, blocs will emerge, and those with greater power will defeat or dominate others—whether through direct conflict or by exerting influence, as is already happening today.
Therefore, we must pray, warn others, and remain mindful ourselves. We must strive harder to find ways to establish peace in the world. Outwardly, however, it appears that no clear path exists. When such conditions prevail and destruction seems imminent, only then does humanity turn towards religion and towards God. These are the prophecies of the Promised Messiahas, and they are bound to be fulfilled.
Before we are swept away by the tide of the world and face destruction, we must build a strong relationship with Allah, remember Him, and seek His help. Then you will see—as the Promised Messiahas has said in one of his couplets:
“There is a fire, but all those shall be saved from this fire
Who possess love for the God of Great Wonders”,
When love for Allah is developed, and when all actions are carried out for His sake, then not only will you be saved, but to some extent, you will also contribute to saving the world. Otherwise, destruction is inevitable. As for the final outcome, Allah knows best.
