As the world faces a precarious crossroads marked by the looming threat of global conflict and the growing challenge of substance abuse, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community took the message of peace to one of the most high-profile sporting events in Kerala.

On 15 February, a team of 20 young members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community from Kerala participated in the GTech Marathon held at Infopark Kochi. Their mission was not merely to take part in the race, but to promote a powerful message of health, sanity, and peace.

In a sea of more than ten thousand runners, the team stood out by championing a dual mission—two campaigns featured on their T-shirts that resonated with every home and nation: #StopWW3 and #SayNoToDrugs

#StopWW3: In an era where the threat of a catastrophic nuclear war is no longer a distant thought, the campaign aimed to raise urgent awareness about the growing drift towards global conflict and the devastating humanitarian consequences of a third world war.

#SayNoToDrugs: Promoting a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle, the campaign sought to safeguard the future of younger generations and encourage communities to stand against substance abuse.

The team displayed commendable endurance, with one member completing 21 km, the half marathon distance, 15 participants covering 10 km, and four members running 3 km.

Their visible messaging sparked curiosity among IT professionals and spectators alike, opening avenues for meaningful conversations about the Community’s vision for a peaceful and drug-free society.

The initiative received recognition from Rony Sebastian, founder and CEO of Softnotions Technologies and former race director, who expressed sincere appreciation for the Community’s presence and its noble cause. The team also engaged with Mr Xavier of Jeevadara NGO, presenting him with the book World Crisis and the Pathway to Peace. Impressed by the Community’s vision, he extended an invitation to visit their headquarters to explore future collaboration in social service initiatives, further amplifying the impact of the day’s efforts.

The event served as a meaningful platform to promote the values of peace, unity, and a drug-free society.
