Khuddamul Ahmadiyya, the young men’s auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, organised a service drive on 3 March 2026, reflecting community spirit and the Community’s lived motto “Love for All, Hatred for None”. The initiative was carried out along the route taken by Sikh pilgrims travelling towards Dera Baba Nanak. Volunteers stepped forward to ensure the comfort and well-being of travellers while also caring for the surrounding environment.
The initiative comprised three main aspects.
Refreshment and hospitality: In the spirit of hospitality, volunteers distributed traditional sweet rice (zarda) to hundreds of travellers and locals along the route, offering refreshment and sharing in the festive atmosphere.
First aid support: A small first aid stall was also set up, where volunteers remained ready to provide basic medical support and health assistance to anyone in need during the busy hours of travel.
Waqar-e-Amal (Cleanliness Drive): After the peak of the movement of pilgrims, volunteers conducted a sanitation sweep of the routes used by travellers, restoring cleanliness to the area and demonstrating the Islamic teaching that “cleanliness is half of faith”.
The initiative highlighted the Islamic values of service to humanity, compassion, and social responsibility, and reflected the continued commitment of Khuddamul Ahmadiyya to contribute positively to society through practical acts of service and goodwill.
